What is with all the Haiku, Mr. SlizKo?
Why do I write so many Haiku?
Haiku is an interesting poetry form, not requiring a form of rhyme or repetitious syllable pattern.
It is short, simple, it conveys thought in a decently compact form, regardless of the rules placed on it.
Haiku can improve creativity by challenging thought patterns for sentence structure.
A part of why, is also the beauty of it. Such poetry requires thought and care.
Haiku, for me, is something of beauty. Something of intellect, flowing words that become art.
Where do you stand on Haiku, and poetry in general?

Well, since you ask, personally, I don't care for poetry, but I can see why people like it, and I do respect the people's abilities if they can successfully write it, I just don't really enjoy poetry myself.
