Yahoo said it is resetting passwords for some of its e-mail users after discovering a coordinated effort to compromise accounts.

With how frequently Yahoo gets hacked I wouldn't trust it.  They don't seem to have decent security.

I would suggest you

A. Use passwords over 40 digits in length
B. use higher security email service

I would suggest lava-bit, but it is gone. American solutions scares currently. Thank NSA surveillance for that.

Personally , with things that actually matter , I use a 304 byte password , hashed of course (not rainbow table decodable) with my own private services... 

Only for email.
