"1 on 1"

1 on 1, every child in my junior high gets a mac book. That's okay, i guess. But when they play games, listen to music, and use it for anything besides school, you get it taken away. ANNNDDD it causes many electrical problems to our school almost 100 years old. Our power went out, for 2 hours for school! and, 1.5 hours of them, the wifi connection was down. Ugh, it was awful. And dark. Really dark.

We aren't allowed to know the password for our wifi. Kids also aren't allowed to bring them without an actual reason. I've also seen some bring their iPads and take noted on them as well.

we don't get our own laptops but we go on desktops and a lot of students play games on it...and sometimes the teachers let us. as long as it's not during class and during a time when you should be doing something else...

and anyways, the laptops that my school have SUCKS. You should see the pathetic rubber red "mouse"

so wait, are you saying you guys get to keep the Mac?

Well, we don't have wifi( except near the main office, so I'm told); we have boring old Dell desktops, we could use iPods during lunch, phones only during lunch and passing time. Electronics at my schooling a nutshell.

Till the end of the school year. we get to take it home too

Yeah the MacBook's are pretty cool. But the high school has MacBook Pro's. I am jelly. But I guess I shouldn't be complaining because almost every grade from 2nd on up to Senior in high school has them. But 6th grade doesn't even have them! And the 2nd graders get to take them home.

At my school, they dont tell us the passcode, never have and never will. You said that you get to take the Mac books home, although I would be careful what I search on it at home or at school. Im sure the school is monitoring it somehow!

Yeah! I used to have a mac like everyone else! Then I went to Culver and got a 15 pound dell/pc thingy. The hard drive's already crashed twice this year.

My school has iPads but the teachers either arent smart enough/ don't care when we play games and text because it's kinda obvious.... If you get an F on your report card you get all of your apps taken away and the app store restricted. Of course they is ways around this...
