I hate being a rag
A mat of some sort
That you use then throw away
Until you need some help again

I have stains up to the top
Never to be washed out
Because what's done is done
And I won't be the one to dig you out

I am done playing that role
I am done being your mat

You have used me for the last time
Now I am calling you out

I am who I am
Don't you question that

I will no longer feel bad
Because it's not my fault

This has been caused by you
This knot is your creation

I will not take your excuses
I will stand up for me

I am sorry if that's not who you think I am
But you better believe it is
I am done being the bad guy
When your the one who made the tangle

This is your mess
This is made by you

So no more sympathy notes
No more feeling bad
Because that's not my fault
That it's happened to you

Brooke, this is a very very well written poem. I am sure that a lot of people can relate to a time in their lives when they feel like this, and you put all of these feelings into the most perfect words.
