What a load of rubbish!

With all the telescopes of the world looking into the sky for something that could end the world, nothing has been spotted. I have seen the film, Deep Impact, so don't think it will end with a ELLE (Extinction Life Leveling Event), so what do you think?

I dont care to be honest, if death comes it comes, we cannot live our lives constantly wondering if death is around the corner or not.

So if you embrace death then, you will not fear it, but accept it

i dont think that the world will end. and from what i recall, i dont think thats what the mayans said either. i think they said something about how there would be a big change, and records show that 2011 has had the worst natural disasters in history.. so maybe these natural disasters will progress and make things worse?? idk, maybe there will just be a big change. i dont think the world will end though..

also, most people believe that the world will end in 2012 because supposedly thats when the mayan calendar ends. but from what all i have heard, read and researched, December 21, 2012 is just when the long count ends. but then another calender comes into cycle.

more geeky stuff that probably nobody wants to hear lol: originally, the story was that the Summerians (the first true civilization) found a planet called, i believe it was Nibiru, and it was supposedly headed for earth on may of 2003. But when it came time, nothing happened (so surprising lol) so then the date of the catastrophe was changed to December of 2012. hmm.. think there may be a coincidence here?

so all in all, 1 fable lead to another and its just causing an uprise globally. But personally, i just think this whole "world ending in 2012" is just gonna pass by just like what everything else did.

i bet you all thought i was just some dumb blonde in disguise (well at least some of you did anyway hehe) but nooo, i know stuff:P haha:)

anyway, the calenders have reset multiple times!

My whole take on this is maybe the Myans one day woke up and said "Hey everyone we aren't going to be alive in 2012 anyway so why are we making a calender that far forward"

I think that they just got tired of making the calendar and stopped on Dec. 21, 2012.

Personally I don't we can really determine the end of the world, because many people have "tried" to predict it many many times

Guys chances are when the end of the world comes we wont know about it because it will be over that quickly

i agree. but you know, at the end of the mayans long count, there is always a big change, like a really bad war, or something else disasterous. so im wondering if that will continue for this year. hmmm.

As long as we try to change a country and as a world to become for friendly we should be fine, but if we get another crappy president they won't focus on the true problems like democrats deciding they don't have to work that day because they are mad and not even thinking about the COUNTRY as a whole unit

December 21st is my sister's birthday

I don't think the world will end, and for the mayans long count being over, wouldn't you think that maybe that was when they were dying off and couldn't continue making it because they were in a war and about to die off.

I agree but i believe that the something big is going to happen in 2012..... and for the calendar.... i think that they just got bored and lazy..

I agree that something big might happen, but we say that every year that something huge is going to happen, so truthfully we never know whensomething will strike. It will just happen so why worry about something we can't predict? Why waste our time of happiness with loss and sadness?

All I want to know is:

Personally, I don't think 2012 will happen. Possibly, the guy that made the calender died while in the process of making the calender.
