society has given it a definition. in everything you have a choice, so if want to lose your ability to choose you'd be opposed to pro-choice. come on, think about it.

To me, when I see pro-choice, I think pro-choice for only abortion. however really it can refer to other things to...I'm just used to it being a side for abortion

For me pro-choice means your on the side or people to choose, and for their life to not be chosen or them.

I don't think it should be a choice. It goes against the first amendment. Right To Life, people! These babies are already human by the time an abortion is possible. They have heart beats and brains, they feel pain. There are so many videos of babies screaming as they are being chopped apart. If they did want children at that age then they shouldn't have had sex in the first place!

Ok it's not the egg. But in as little as 9 to 12 weeks from the pregnancy, the baby basically has developed its nervous system, and it starts developing its apendages and can feel pain from then on out.

I agree thats why I think the law should be shortend cause in the uk its 24 weeks but I think it should be 18-20 and if there will be proble,ms then obviosuly they can still get one but for normal aborting babys it should be 18-20 weeks

I personally think people should just give the baby up for adoption, rather than killing it. But of course not everyone will agree. But if they had to get an abortion, I wish it would be illegal after the first 12 weeks of pregnancy so at least the baby wouldn't feel pain....

We aren't talking about abortion here, because this is about pro-choice not abortion, so why is it being brought up here?

the baby is not properly formed enough to register any ammount of pain until entering the 20th week and really in the uk it can take up to 3 years to even give a baby up for adoption and to a faimily. Also it is over within a matter of a few minutes and then after a few hours its all over with entierly as it does not take long for the baby to die. but then again its not fully developed enough to feel pain for quite some time

This is about whether pro-choice goes for all things, or just abortion, not whether or not it is okay.

But the neurological system is developing at 12 weeks, and once it has that, it feels pain. Trust me, my dad studied with doctors and learned all about it. Although 20 weeks is when they are FULLY able to feel pain, they start feeling pain starting at 12 weeks.

Pro-choice is when you are for something, so I think that it goes for anything you are for....for example I could say I am pro-democracy.
