Salty hot tears
Stream down my makeup stained face
Once I stop about one
I start back up on another
Try so hard
To please, impress, shine
Never good enough
Like a story not ended
A blossom wilting
My efforts are useless
I can never keep you more than two seconds

Good but not good enough
Tried but not hard enough
Someone’s ALWAYS better
I am the soup that you like
But would never have out of choice
I never reach my goal

I turn to see
Someone else getting the award
I turn to see
My dreams are down the toilet
I turn to see
My efforts as pointless as dirt among dust

Tried SO hard
So much effort
And for what?
To remain unmentioned
To remain in the same spot as
Slackers
Kids who could care less
Jerks
Liars
Boasters

I never wanted this
All I wanted was
To impress you
All I wanted
Was to be Good Enough

But I guess my excellence
Is your inferiority.
