Agreeing with a post

Is there a way to add a function to allow us to thank/agree/like someone else's post, without making a re-post ourselves? I've seen a feature like this on another forum. For an example the moderator in question please PM me, to avoid sensitive data being leaked from another forum.

The rep system can be fun but I've seen it abused before and it has been used to bully people too, so I'd vote no.

What's the difference between like and thanks? Aren't they close to the same?

But, yeah, not a rep system. In theory, it's a good idea, in practice, not so much. The like system would be better, I think. And, yeah, what's the difference b/w the like and the thanks options?

I'm either for likes, or thanks. It depends on the difference. We can't have both? XD

See FM has two features.

A 'thanks' feature where only the topic starter can thank someone. So say I created a thread I could thank one person.

They also have a rep system. However I could provide a link to a tutorial where you can turn the rep system into a like button. So people could like your post.
