Under the age of eighteen, the parents should take it to court if they honestly care enough.

Excellant point. They are a child. However, I still think that it should be decided upon by the court.

Eric (Matthew?) makes a great point. In "most" cases the victim is just tht - a child. Why let a "child" choose something tht could change ther life for the worst?

I think I have read through this and I have decided that I have changed my mind. I believe that the woman herself needs to have the right to choose whether or not she wants to keep that baby or not.

Good question Sarah.

I have said it before on this forum, in the UK, teenage pregnancy is a big problem, and kids are using it as a form of contraception instead of using the usual protection.  MOST kids do it because their parents force them to.  So should it be left up to a child, to decide if they can bring a child into the world?  Well how can the afford to raise a child if they are still at school?  Is it right that the state should be forced to pay for a child of a child?  If the parent was raising the child properly in the first place, then the child would not get pregnant in the first place.
